This exquisite Banarasi silk saree represents the pinnacle of Indian textile artistry, handwoven in the ancient city of Varanasi.
Ravi Sharma, a fifth-generation master weaver, crafts each saree using pure mulberry silk threads on a traditional pit loom. The
royal magenta color is achieved through natural dye extraction from beetroot and lac insects, creating a vibrant yet eco-friendly
hue. Intricate gold and silver zari work adorns the entire saree, featuring traditional Mughal-inspired motifs including peacocks,
flowers, and geometric patterns. The pallu showcases elaborate butis (floral motifs) that required 45 days of meticulous weaving.
Each saree contains approximately 5,600 threads per inch and takes 2-3 months to complete. The pure silk drapes beautifully
and develops a rich patina over time, becoming a cherished heirloom piece.
